Product Description

Aloha! I’m the Red or Pink Ginger — also known as Alpinia purpurata. With my tall, vibrant flower spikes and glossy green leaves, I bring year-round tropical beauty to your home or garden. I’ve become a staple in Hawaiian floral arrangements and symbolize hospitality, elegance, and joy.

I grow tall — up to 6 feet — and my vibrant bracts bloom like torches in the foliage. My foliage alone is striking, but when I bloom, I turn heads. I’m great for large containers, patios, or sunny corners indoors. Just give me some filtered light and humidity, and I’ll shine!

Whether you’re starting with plantlets, 2-inch, or 4-inch potted plants — I adapt quickly and grow beautifully with the right care.

What You’ll Get

Choose from:

  • One (1) unpotted Red or Pink Ginger plantlet (wrapped in sphagnum moss)
  • One (1) 2-inch potted starter plant
  • One (1) 4-inch potted plant (approx. 15–20" tall)

No blooms on arrival, but the foliage is lush and vibrant.

Care Tips

  • Light: Bright, indirect light; protect from hot afternoon sun
  • Water: Keep soil moderately moist, but not soggy
  • Fertilizer: Use a balanced tropical plant fertilizer monthly
  • Growth Rate: Moderate — blooms typically appear in 6–12 months
  • Other Notes: Can be grown in containers or garden beds; enjoys humidity

All around helpful---worth the money!
Format: Paperback
This guide has been most helpful for all the folks I help prepare for the iTEP test! It gives insight into what each section of the test is looking for along with examples and great tips about actually TAKING the test. In the Writing and Speaking sections, it also gives sample scores and comments from the Master Grader which is very helpful too.

Comprehensive, clear and coherent!
Format: Paperback
The iTEP Practice Guide combines a no-nonsense approach to the specific iTEP tests and at the same time offers exercises that task the student with what they need to know. Exercises not only serve the purpose of scoring well, but the overall approach is communicative competence. We use the text in our group and one-to-one classes with very positive--and lasting--results.

No recomiendo
Format: Paperback
